Starting July 2008 I will offer portrait services. You will get exceptional value - high quality portraits at very reasonable prices. My objective is to produce portraits that will tell viewers something about who you are, and in order to do this you need to expand your view on what you consider a "portrait". I have set up a home studio, which allows me to charge very low rates for standard posed portraits (click here for a sample of studio portraits), but I will also do location work. If part of who you are is an athlete, I will take action shots of your events or games (click here to see my sports photography credits - go back to my home page for sample sports galleries), if you are a musician I will take photos of you performing (click here for sample photos), if you are a rancher I can take shots of you working on your ranch, in other words my view of a portrait includes taking photos of what you do in addition to the standard posed portraits. If you check out my sports galleries you will clearly see I excel at "capturing the moment".

My introductory sitting rate for a 90 minute session is $50. This is a satisfaction guaranteed rate, which means if you do not like the results you pay nothing! Many department store portrait studios rarely give you more than 30 minutes, 90 minutes gives us plenty of time to try several poses and even gives you time to try different outfits. Typically you may be offered a low cost "sitting fee" or no fees at all from competitors which means the actual cost may be deceiving. The way you have access to your photos is through my photo sharing site Smugmug. I have unlimited storage which means I will leave your gallery up on-line as long as you want me to! There is no limit to how many photos you can order at these very low prices! Click here for help on how to order your prints or photo gifts on-line. My suggestion is to order a few prints initially to make certain they meet your quality standards. If they don't let me know and I will make any needed adjustments. For your convenience I will upload photos cropped for 8x10s (which can be used for a 16x20). 5x7s, 11x14s, and for wallet sized photos.

My rate for location portraits is $75 per hour provided the driving time is no more than 20 minutes from my home in Rio Rancho. Keep in mind a location portrait will include trips to a musical/theatrical performance or athletic events. If the driving time will be longer rates will be negotiable.
